Volunteer Program

The day to day operations of André House are run primarily by the Core Community, though not much could get done without the many generous people who assist us daily in the service of those most in need. Please consider joining us in our ministry. The following volunteer opportunities are available:

Soupline:

In order to serve the nearly 600 meals each evening, we need many helping hands. The work here begins at 3:15pm and finishes around 7:15pm/7:30pm...it is done whenever clean-up is complete. The work includes all aspects of serving our nightly meal to the poor and homeless...meal prep, serving and clean-up. We serve the meal every evening except for Fridays. We are closed on Fridays. Sorting Clothing/Donations:

Volunteers working in this area sort through the donations we receive. They sort men's vs women's clothing, sort toiletries, organize shelves, fold and stack blankets, etc. This opportunity is open on some Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Donation Drive

We need groups or individuals to host item drives on our behalf. Get your family, friends, co-workers or church communities to come together to collect items for our guests. See our Needs List to determine what items we currently need or contact Teresa Hipp (see contact information below.)
